I checked out on vacation for a week and didn’t bother to schedule any posts. I felt a little guilty but it was usually as I laid in bed at the end of every night and thought about how awesome the day had been. So here’s what I should have posted last week and didn’t.
Basically, this is a great read for any Jane Austen lovers. So, I loved it.
The story follows Marianne who is left in the care of her aunt after the death of her mother, while her father is on the continent (if I’m going to summarize the story, I might as well bust out the Austenite lanugage), and her twin sister is in London. Marianne is invited by her sister to go to Edenbrooke and meet her sister’s guy (well… it’s more like the guy that her sister WISHES was her guy).
Enter the dashing Phillip (who the author said Jake Gyllenhaal could play. If that’s so… sign me up!)
I’m just saying that he’s pretty handsome…
Anyways, of course Marianne doesn’t want to encroach on this guy because her sister is crushing on him, but she still finds him attractive. And of course, there’s some fun banter.
I totally recommend reading this in bed, or on a rainy day from a perch near a window, or a sunny day in the park. It’s just a sweet, giddy, happy, chick lit.
In the meantime, I’m currently working through my other books.
